Antigonish Affordable Housing Society
The Antigonish Affordable Housing Society (AAHS) aims to break the cycle of poverty vulnerable people find themselves in, and to improve the quality of their lives by providing access to affordable and energy-efficient housing that is socially and financially sustainable, and supported by the community.
Our first initiative, Riverside Estates on Hope Lane, was built in two phases. Phase 1 opened in March 2017; Phase 2 in October 2018. All 14 one- and two-bedroom units are now fully occupied.
The Society continues to explore new ways to address the ongoing need for affordable housing in rural areas of the province.
