The Antigonish Affordable Housing Society has extended the application deadline for two barrier-free apartments at Riverside Estates which will soon be ready for occupancy.
The new March 1st deadline is intended to ensure that people living with disabilities and on low incomes have enough time to access, complete and fill in an application form for the first floor accessible units.
“Board members realized the date we had initially set provided only a two-week window,” according to Colleen Cameron, chair of the Society.
Applications from prospective tenants for the one and two-bedroom apartments on the second floor are currently being reviewed by the Tenant Selection Committee.
