*JUNE 21 UPDATE* PLEASE NOTE THAT Alex Mediavilla from the Nova Scotia Cooperative Council is now scheduled to join tonight’s AGM as a guest speaker. Alex has been very involved in the conversion of the Tara Motel in New Glasgow, which was purchased by the Council, into Coady’s Place – an affordable housing community.
Alex Mediavilla is originally from Venezuela and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science. He came to Canada in 2018 and worked as the General Manager of the Tara Motel in New Glasgow until it was sold to the Nova Scotia Cooperative Council. He stayed on to support the motel’s conversion and transition into affordable housing. Now, as a Business Development Manager, Alex works to advance all of the Council’s affordable housing initiatives.

NOTICE is hereby given that the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the Members of the Antigonish Affordable Housing Society will be held on Wednesday, the 21st of June beginning 7:00 PM in the Sister Marion Sheridan Community Room, Appleseed Court, 25 Appleseed Drive, Antigonish, NS.
In addition to Annual General Meeting Business, the Agenda includes a presentation by Erika Shea, President and CEO of New Dawn Enterprise.
All who support the objects of the Antigonish Affordable Housing Society are welcome to attend.
