The Antigonish Affordable Housing Society is a seeking a motivated summer youth worker to assist with communications and information administration. The youth will update our website and communication resources; support transition to google work space including refining file structure and transferring electronic documents; update the organizational policy manual.
Do you have strong organizational and time management skills? Great interpersonal skills? Are you self-motivated and able to work independently? If yes, this job might suit you. The job will match a student interested in communications and public relations and/or organizational and business systems. The successful student needs working knowledge of Word Press and google workspace. Experience with or having studied communications and/or organizational management is an asset. Interest in issues affecting housing and the community housing sector is ideal.
To be eligible, youth must be 15 – 30 years of age at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada. (International students are not eligible.)
The job is full-time (35 hours/week) for 8 weeks, at $17/hour. An alternate schedule might be mutually negotiated, as long as all work occurs between June 1 and Aug 30th.
